Chimney Sweep

Whether you burn wood, use oil, or gas to heat your home, it is important to maintain the flue that directs the harmful gasses out of your home!

Many factors determine how often you need to clean your fireplace, stove, or chimney. Frequency of use, fuel type, external temperatures, moisture level of wood, efficiency of appliance, draft performance, chimney design, and residual creosote can all have an a huge factor.

Chimney Repair

A Few reasons you may want to have your Chimney repaired...
First and Foremost Waterproofing
One: Brick Deterioration.

Two: Mortar joint damage.
Three: Ruptured chimney crown.
Four: Efflorescence (white staining).
Five: Inadequate flashing.

Damper

Create a tight seal at the top of your chimney and keep energy in the home. The top sealing chimney damper is designed to stop cold air from coming down the flue, and expensive conditioned air from going up.

Waterproofing

Water will soak into porous masonry and eventually destroy it.
Absorbed water will eventually break down the brick and mortar particles. In freezing temperatures, the water expands and can separate layers of the brick (a condition known as “spalling”). These issues are more common in areas exposed to weather, such as on chimneys, wing walls, mailboxes, and the bottom three feet of exterior walls that may get exposure from sprinklers or driving rains.
